Sue is a founder, leader, coach, strategic thinker, and marketer offering 25 years of philanthropic consulting and senior management experience to social impact organizations and nonprofits.
She has raised over $14,000,000 in partnership with her diverse list of clients. Sue’s direct marketing campaigns have been honored by her industry peers 8 times for direct mail, digital, and multi-channel fundraising campaigns. She coaches clients to tell their stories powerfully, increase revenue, and expand leadership and impact on the issues they care about. Sue has trained hundreds of development professionals, board members, and executives in direct marketing, building fundraising shops, creating individual donor pipelines, stewarding major donors, and developing boards that engage in fundraising.
Prior to her work with fundraising agencies, Sue served for over a dozen years in senior fundraising and communications positions in-house at nonprofits, centering her expertise in building fundraising programs for mental health, reproductive rights, human services, and social justice organizations like Fountain House, Planned Parenthood Federation of America, and the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention.
She is the award-winning founder of the Swish Ally Fund at the Stonewall Community Foundation, which invests in emerging organizations on the front lines of the LGBTQ+ movement for love and equality. Sue is a graduate of and coach with the leadership training and development programs of Landmark Worldwide. She holds a mini-MBA in Social Media Marketing from Rutgers University‘s Center for Management Development, where she also completed her undergraduate degree. She is a former New York City foster parent and the proud solo mom of a four-year-old daughter.
