Kris Blanchette

Senior Fundraising Program Manager

Kris is a seasoned fundraising professional with more than 20 years of experience. Much of that experience came on the client side of the industry, including at the United Services Organization (USO), National Geographic Society, George Washington’s Mount Vernon, and the National Osteoporosis Foundation, where she excelled in managing programs, volunteers, and staff and in developing campaign strategies, budgets, and goals.

At Avalon, Kris helps manage the accounts for the Humane Rescue Alliance, St. Hubert’s Animal Welfare Center, and the Wolf Trap National Park for the Performing Arts. She oversees and implements all aspects of their direct mail fundraising campaigns—from strategy, creative, and production to data and analytics.

When she’s not working, Kris and her husband enjoy cooking, boating, and taking their beloved dog, Lil’ Miss (named after the Spin Doctors’ song, Lil’ Miss Can’t Be Wrong), on weekend camping trips outside Washington, DC.
