Amy has been raising funds for nonprofits for 30 years. She unknowingly wrote her first direct mail piece while serving as a U.S. Peace Corps volunteer in Honduras, and since then has dedicated her professional life to direct marketing fundraising, working with more than 30 international, national, and local nonprofits. She led her own award-winning agency, Tripi Consulting, for 20 years before joining forces with Avalon in 2021.
For eight years, Amy was a member of the Board of Directors of the Direct Marketing Fundraisers Association (DMFA) and served as DMFA’s President from 2002-2003. Amy co-chaired the Direct Response Track for Fundraising Day in New York, America’s largest one-day conference on philanthropy, for 15 years. She has frequently written articles and presented at conferences about direct marketing fundraising.
In 2013, Amy was honored by her industry peers with the prestigious DMFA Marketer of the Year Award for her industry contributions. She has served as a board member for Unison Arts Center and Holistic Health Community, as well as on the Poughkeepsie Day School Development Committee.
When not raising money for her beloved nonprofits, Amy practices shamanic reiki and craniosacral therapy, as well as other energy healing modalities.
