Lisa comes to Avalon from the client side, with experience in nonprofit development from the Wolf Trap Foundation for the Performing Arts most recently, and previously in Philadelphia at the Curtis Institute of Music and United Cerebral Palsy.

At Wolf Trap, Lisa served as a Development Assistant, working on the front lines in member services and contributing to the membership newsletter. As Assistant Director of Development Services at the Curtis Institute of Music, Lisa honed her skills the way most nonprofit professionals do – by doing a little bit of everything. She planned annual fund membership events; co-created and implemented a new gift acknowledgment system; worked with major gift officers on donor cultivation and services; and acted as the Development Department’s website administrator and lead designer.

As Special Events/Development Associate at United Cerebral Palsy, Lisa’s work involved event design and implementation, as well as organizing tremendous volunteer efforts for public events. She also developed the UCP’s Youth Board.

With her expertise in member services, multi-channel fundraising, and major donor stewardship, Lisa is a terrific addition to the Avalon team.

After work, Lisa likes to spend time outdoors — camping, hiking, walking her dogs, and visiting farmers’ markets.
