| Jamie joined the Avalon team in 2007 and has over 15 years of industry experience as consultant and client. In her previous position as Deputy Director of Marketing and Membership at EMILY’s List, Jamie managed all membership and candidate mail, phone, and Web fundraising, as well as all member communications. Jamie’s other nonprofit leadership positions include serving as Director of Development for the University of Judaism and Project Angel Food. On the consulting side, Jamie developed her fundraising skills at the direct marketing agency Malchow Adams & Hussey (now Adams Hussey & Associates), where she worked with clients to integrate telemarketing into their fundraising programs and managed their phone campaigns. At Avalon, Jamie has managed a diverse set of client accounts, including The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, The Leadership Conference on Civil and Human Rights, the League of Women Voters of the United States, the National Gay and Lesbian Task Force, Parents, Families and Friends of Lesbians and Gays (PFLAG), and Physicians for Social Responsibility. Jamie is forward looking in her strategic outlook and excels at going beyond immediate campaign performance to address critical factors like long-term member value, retention, and return on investment that ensure the health and development of her client programs. Her strengths also include combining creative innovations with data strategies to produce fundraising campaigns that get results. Jamie serves on the board of the Direct Marketing Association of Washington as Co-Chair of Marketing. She also serves on the development committee (and is previously a board member) for Children of Uganda, a nonprofit working to provide education, food, clothing and shelter for AIDS-related orphans in Uganda. Jamie is an avid yoga practitioner, loves a long hike, is a proud pop-culture nerd, and is always glad to recommend a good restaurant. | |
