Mark joined Avalon with more than 15 years of experience in marketing, fundraising, and membership strategy that spans the corporate, non-profit, and political sectors. His focus is on optimizing multi-channel online and offline touch points for maximum reach and productivity, and developing win-win strategic partnerships.


Most recently, Mark was Vice President of Direct Marketing for the progressive direct marketing agency MSHC Partners. There he oversaw the political fundraising programs for United States senators, launched voter turnout programs, and developed constituent building and direct marketing strategies for various non-profit and advocacy organizations, including Rock the Vote and CREDO Mobile.  Prior to joining MSHC Partners’ leadership team, Mark built innovative marketing, CRM and e-commerce programs for several major media brands, including Discovery Channel, Animal Planet, America Online, and National Geographic Society.


He began his career as Development Director for a visual arts institution in Philadelphia. A native of New Jersey, Mark graduated from the University of Delaware and holds an MBA from Drexel University.


Mark resides in Bethesda, Maryland and enjoys travelling with his wife, son, and daughter.
