Mark joined Avalon in 2011, bringing more than 15 years of experience in database marketing, business development, fundraising, and membership strategy that spans the commercial, nonprofit, and political sectors. At Avalon, he develops win-win strategic partnerships for our clients that fully leverage an array of online and offline direct marketing touch points, and ROI-focused analytical services.
Mark’s political direct marketing fundraising and engagement experience includes Pollie Award-winning work for United States Senator Frank Lautenberg, as well as Senator Mark Warner, Senator Ben Cardin, Senator Barbara Mikulski, and U.S. Representative Jackie Speier.
Prior to joining Avalon, Mark was Vice President of Direct Marketing for the progressive direct marketing agency MSHC Partners. There he oversaw political fundraising programs for United States Senate campaigns, launched voter turnout programs, and developed constituent building and direct marketing strategies for nonprofit and advocacy organizations.
Mark began his career as Development Director for Brandywine Workshop, a visual arts institution based in Philadelphia, PA. A native of New Jersey, Mark graduated from the University of Delaware and holds an MBA from Drexel University.
Mark resides in Bethesda, Maryland and enjoys travelling with his wife, and two children.
